Eat: Grenada Celebrates Good Times with Oil Down

Oil Down is a tasty one-pot casserole that is the national dish of Grenada. Recipes vary, but the one essential ingredient is breadfruit.

However you prepare Oil Down, the result is delicious. During our recent media stay at Mount Cinnamon Resort and Beach Club on Grand Anse Beach, the chefs treated us to a cooking demonstration on the beach. Just so you know, Oil Down is even better when served with rum punch!

Read my story, How to Make Oil Down–Grenada’s National Dish, in RealFoodTraveler.com about our experience.
