Yes, Yellowstone National Park And Gardiner, MT, Are Open
Go ahead, and make your plans to visit Yellowstone National Park. The vital North Entrance in Gardiner, Montana, has re-opened, and the quirky, western town welcomes your business. That vital entrance provides key access to Mammoth Hot Springs and the Lamar Valley, home to the park’s largest concentration of wildlife.
Yellowstone Country Montana asked me to update my interview with private tour guide MacNeil Lyons of Yellowstone Insight to publish on the tourism bureau’s website. I had spent a day with him during a media tour in 2017, and my original post was published here on All The Write Places. I was happy to reconnect with MacNeil because his tour was perhaps the best outdoor recreation experience I’ve ever had!
MacNeil shared his observations about the unprecedented flooding in June 2022 that wiped out key roads and canceled thousands of jobs and reservations, as well as the aggressive reconstruction efforts that restored and improved park access. Now, all we need is to spread the word.
See what he had to say in my updated story, “Gardiner Is Open, And Visitor Access to Yellowstone National Park Is Restored.”
